For a HTPC, a dedicated GPU is way more important than a fast CPU. I don't know what kind of availability you have in your area, but both nVidia and AMD have released HTPC-centic GPUs which are much cheaper than their fully-fledged desktop compatriots.

The size of the HDD is really dependent on your media needs. Do you plan on ripping and storing a bunch of media? If not, then you don't need a big hard drive. Also, I'd recommend looking into a "green" HDD, as these are quieter, so are better for HTPCs.

The A4 3400 is more than enough. To give you an example, my HTPC currently has a GT430 and an Athlon64 3200+ and it tears through anything I throw at it at 1080p (but you have to use codecs that support GPU acceleration).

The 5670 and Gt440 are overkill. You could easily get by with a GT210, but if you're looking for possible 3D upgrades in the future, the gt430/440 will be perfect.

the llano is great for htpc without a dedicated gpu. Ignore anyone that says otherwise. I would grab the A6 personally.

If this is just an htpc then there is no need for a dedicated gpu. I would go with the 3650.

I would go with the A8-3800. You get the same "GPU" as the 3850 but just .2GHz less but that comes at 65W instead of 100W. This should produce less heat, allow you to buy a small HSF if necessary, and get a lower rpm fan for cpu. These items will be critical if you want to fit a cool quiet cpu into a small case, but you won't be sacrificing graphics power. I believe you have made the right choice right now for an HTPC build with AMD's APU. They simply outperform the 2500k/2600k in graphical applications using built in graphics only. Oh and the graphics on the 3850/3800 are way more than enough to play movies etc. Here is a guy playing Crysis 2 on it

. I just finished building an HTPC with the A8-3850 (wish I would have gone with the A8-3800 for less wattage), let me know if you have any questions.

Edit extra note: The graphics tend to scale with the speed of your system RAM so I would try and get whatever the fastest is that your motherboard will support.
