Well, the main issue with Driver Sweeper is those who have AMD motherboards / CPUs end up deleting very important files like chipset driver software and such that you NEED. At least that's what used to happen, I don't know if they've fixed this in the newer versions.

I was like you once. I was very cautious when it comes to driver install/uninstall and i was using only uninstall feature built-in drivers no 3rd party softwares whatsoever. And i was thinking that is the reason why i don't get any driver related problems and considering myself smart not to use them. Then i decided to give this Driver Sweeper a shot. It helped me to see how useless the built-in uninstalls are. They leave dozens of files in the Windows and Program Files folders and registry untouched. Driver Sweeper deletes them and your system becomes completely clean as if you just installed the Windows.

Never tried the chipset thing. I'm only using it only for graphics drivers and it works really good.

You can choose each thing it deletes, just takes some time to look through the list and uncheck things you need to keep. You can also make a back-up before you run the drive-sweeper.

It only applies to Windows XP. If your vista and 7 user you just need to stay away.
