Help Overclocking AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE - Page 4

Ill stick to 3.8GHz then, maybe next week, Ill try to reach 4.0GHz If I'm in the mood for it, I'm just tired by now, of swapping fans, Because hyper 212+ fan mounting is such a ***** xD

BTW I did the cooler master Sickleflow and the hyper 212+ stock fan combination, temps are the same, but ill stick with this, Ill just try later to lower the CPU voltage and get better results

Those are good temps under a full load using prime95 or IBT. You can probably hit 4ghz without a heat issue. It will all depend on how much more volts you have to add to reach 4ghz. For me anything under 1.5 stays at or below 55c.

Another thing, this motherboard has the UCC feature, the core unlocker, and on the bios it says that i can unlock like this:

x2---->x4
x3---->x4
x4---->x6

How do I unlock my CPU?

I don't think you can. Far as I know the Deneb does not have any hidden cores to get x6.

Hmm, It would be nice.....:/

Tomorrow I'm going to try and reach the 4.0GHz mark, 3.8GHz is stable now

If you don't then 3.8 is a good overclock. I doubt you will notice much difference. I can not really tell much between 3.8 to 4.1.

Yeah, the x4 955 has no locked cores, so you've only got the 4 to work with.

Generally, you want to get 12 hours of prime 95 blend test to be sure of stability. Either that or 30-50 Runs of Intel Burn Test on High or Maximum

I passed 12 hours of Prime, only to fail within the first 5 rounds of IBT, so best to check both

Just make sure you stay under 62 degrees on the CORES, not the socket
1.5V would be your maximum Vcore for 24/7 use.

It would also be beneficial to overclock your CPU/NB to around 2600-2800MHz. Phenom II's benefit greatly from a CPU/NB overclock.

Just bear in mind to increase the CPU/NB voltage, NOT the NB voltage
For your CPU/NB voltage, anything up to 1.4 is safe, but you shouldn't need that much. I have 2600MHz with 1.2V.

Hope this helps

Well right now i have CPU voltage at 1.35V
Multiplier at 19x

Don't know anything of NB, what do you advise me?
The NB is at stock....

raise cpu/nb to 2600 or 2800 1.2v-1.3v should do it.
