Motherboard Replacement Problem at Store

ok so here's the story. my friend asked me to build a system for him. we already bought the i7 870 before like 4mos. ago if i remember exactly just sitting waiting for a mobo. we were on a tight budget so we went to the store that have a stock of it and bought the P7H55-M. and we noticed that the mosfet/vrm heatsink is not there. unfortunately we were far away from the store at that time. so i just told my friend to return that motherboard anytime cause of the missing heatsink.

so after a couple of days, he returned it to the store and reported the problem. store said that they're gonna replace it if the stocks arrives. unfortunately again the store said that the mobo/same model was phased out. so they replaced it a different model instead, the P7H55-M PRO.

so my friend installed the mobo (P7H55-M PRO), and he said that after a couple of use the mobo just died. so i told him again to return that shet.. lol. sorry for the swear cause i was mad at the store that time haha.

the store said that they are going to replace it AGAIN. after that, we waited for about a month. yes a month!! but my friend couldn't wait for any longer so he phoned me if the P7P55D-E Deluxe is any good i said yes go get that and he had the budget. so he bought it.

now what happened? just a while ago my friend called me that he's at the store right now and the motherboard is now there just waiting to be picked up. now since we already have a mobo (P7P55D-E Deluxe), i said to my friend that ask them if its possible to replace the mobo to a different item. like hard drive, memory etc. the store disagreed, they said that they're not allowed to do that and the 7-days has passed.

wth? we didnt even had the chance to touch the mobo cause they have it. now i said i'll talk to the one that works there and lets pretend to be brothers. so i talked to the girl (infairness the girl sounded cute) and perfectly i have a low voice and pretend to be the elder brother and the girl sounded scurrred like im the boss. lol. but unfortunately i was rejected haha. i mean they disagreed again and they feel sorry about it. so i said ok its ok nevermind thank you.

now the problem is when my friend opened the box of the P7H55-M PRO, the motherboard is the P7H55-M LE. its the cheaper one right? correct me if im wrong. what should we do? they dont even wanna change the mobo to a different item. thanks ocn!

well for how much? selling stuff here in our country is not that easy btw.

also just to add we bought the first mobo (P7H55-M) for $113. and i know that the P7H55-M LE is waaayyy cheaper like $44 cheaper? idk im not sure..

well if they gave you the rong board they should replace it for the right one id asume you still got the receit if they wont replace it with the right one go to your local trading standards or equivilent and complain about the store

well i dont think we will be able to sell the mobo for the same price. who would buy a mobo with an older socket anyway? LGA1155 is taking over these days.

also we spent a money thats worth the P7H55-M and now we'll end up selling a lower price brand new mobo and we're not even sure if there is going to buy the motherboard for its price. unless if we sell it for like super cheap like $10. lol

If he bought the new Deluxe board from the store that he is using can't he just return it there? I wouldn't have a problem doing that if they are being that huge of jerks.

Is it no refunds on RMAs or no refunds in general? If it is the latter then wow I have never heard of it.

my friend bought the P7P55D-E Deluxe from another store. not on the store that i was talking about. i also explained them that we already bought a motherboard so the motherboard they're replacing would be now useless and that was their problem for taking it so long and ended up on buying a new one from a different store. and instead i asked the girl if they could just change the item to a different component. she talked to their boss and said no.

i also said that i've done many RMA on other stores and its normal for customers to do that. she said "not on our store".

and yes she said no refunds in general.
