Need help Running Neverwinter Nights (Windows 7 x64 + ATi 6850)

Hey guys. I'm having trouble runnning NWN on my current PC. I have the x64 edition of Windows 7, as well as an ATi card, which supposedly run NWN (OpenGL) terribly. I have the gog.com edition, as well as the retail Diamond edition, and none of these work correctly. Can someone help me out, please? Thank you!

From the top of my head I can only advice to run the game in compatibility mode for XP (rightclick on the icon, properties, compatibility, etc)

What kind of problems do you have? ATI cards are worse with OpenGL, but not to the point of not being able to run a game, it just runs them slower.

yeah OpenGl is a PITA, try seeing if when you get it started, you can switch it to D3D or hardware rendering

I can't even get the game to boot. The gog.com edition is supposed to be able to run straight from just clicking on it. After I get the splash screen, the screen goes black, and when it returns, it says my display driver crashed I can't even get the game to boot. And I only thing NWN supports OpenGL.

How annoying -.- Well, I have switched over to playing Baldur's Gate with my friend. Strange how that game works flawlessly, yet, Neverwinter Nights has problems. Ehh, such is life. Thanks for the replies.

I am currently finishing chapter 2. I had problems when I first ran it. I have been able to run it by going into the Neverwinter nights folder and running the nwmain application. The game will not run with the desktop icon created.

Well, I figured out the problem! The RAGE drivers that AMD released? Guess who was running them ... and guess what it did to NWN, once I uninstalled the beta drivers?? It works now! Thanks again to everyone for the help.
