Uh...I and everyone else here thought you realized that; I apologize for making the assumption.

As I said before, you and many others (myself included) don't like how ISP's go about business, whether it's Bell, Rogers, or another company. That's totally legitimate, and I understand the concern.

With that said, the data shows that under the current infrastructure utilized by Bell, P2P usage was a major problem that needed to be addressed; it's truly as simple as that.

It's incredible how terrible Bell is, absolutely the worst telecom company I've dealt with ever.

There are more than a few legal applications that will utilize p2p data transmission. (If someone says it's all Linux torrents a puppy will spontaneously combust)

It was obvious from the start that the only reason you jumped in this thread is because you've got an ax to grind; we appreciate the confirmation.

erm so? people have been bypassing the throttling for years now... bell must be smartening up and realizing it isnt working.

At least they cannot throttle file host services.
It's transferred as port 80.

I'm paying like $60 a month basically if you round it off and I'm getting 6Mbps (700kb/s or around that). It's sad how Bell doesn't really have a good internet line. I'm thinking about switching soon.
aei internet .. check it out ..

if you have it in your area of course .. unlimited bandwith ftw
