My new rig - pro and cons?

I cant seem to find the right section to post this in, so here goes:

My new rig I just ordered:

Tower: Antec Twelve Hundred Big Tower
CPU: Intel 2500K
Motherboard: MSI Z68A-GD65 (Gen3), Socket-1155
Ram: Kingston DDR3 HyperX 1600MHz 16GB
GFX: ATI 4870x2 2GB
OS: Kingston HyperX SSD 120GB 2.5
HD1: Seagate Barracuda ES.2 1TB SATA2 32MB 7200RPM
HD2: WD VelociRaptor 300GB SATA 3,5" 10000RPM, 16MB
PSU: Zalman PSU 750W, Ultra Silent, SLI

So this is my new setup. Im waiting at the moment for the new GFX from Nvidia. Would be stupid to buy a 590 right now and then a month or two later the new series is out.

Is there any parts of my new rig that will be a bottleneck? ( Dont mention the GFX I already know that ) Will it work with those 3 hdds? Thinking the one on 300gb should be my game storage only while the other one on 1TB should be for random stuff like movies, files etc.

Thanks in advance.

It looks pretty good to me. I'd probably wait to buy a new GPU.

I would have said dont even bother with the velociraptor but I see its in your current rig. I don't see anything wrong but I would say why not wait for IB to come out? Considering the only real proper upgrade to this rig is cpu + ram it couldn't hurt sitting on your current rig and waiting could it?

Youre wasting a lot of money in hard drives. I would get a crucial m4 128 GB drive for your SSD, drop the velociraptor completely. You probably won't need 16GB of memory, so 8 would be a savings. I also agree with the GPU, rock out your current setup and upgrade to new cards when they are released.

the 2500k is fine IF your planning to get IB wait till the first price drop or special

I guess I just suggested to not buy the stuff you currently have. If you own it already, nevermind

Should be pretty nice especially once you get a new GPU.

Have you thought about cooling for your CPU? If you are going to overclock at all (you are at OCN after all) you should look into some decent aftermarket cooling.

I would definetly suggest waiting for IB to drop. Even if your not going to get it I would expect SB prices to drop as suggested by daman246. Also, as yanks8981 suggested unless your doing something that really needs ram 8GB should be more than enough.

Where did you get a 4870x2? That card used to be best of the best back in 2009 (maybe it was 2008).

Thanks for the answers guys. My situation is that my current rig is dead. Think its the mb and since I was about time to get some new hardware I could as well go full in and get a whole new system.

My plan is to get the new Ivy CPU should they prove to be a lot more better than the 2500k. Once I get my new rig up and going in gonna try with some watercooling for my CPU and try to reach 5ghz

The hard drives I have added are simply from my "old" rig. Might as well use them in my new one ehh?

In 2008 I got people telling me 4gb would be more than enough. Today I am having huge ram issues so I might as well rather be safe than sorry.

My GFX, 4870x2 I bought back in 2008. Have served me VERY well! Awesome card indeed.
