I noticed a difference when gaming on my rig from 3.3 ghz to 3.44ghz on BFBC 2 and GTA 4.

If I were you I'd get a 2130 3.4 but you can safely overclock it to around 3.55ghz ....maybe 3.55ghz. Squeeze as much out of it as possible.
if your thinking about an i3 2130 then toss the idea around of getting an i5 2300 they are around the same ball park figure anywayz...you can benefit more from having a quad. Up grade to a i5 2500k later-on or better...my 2 cents and experience with the 2120.
Get a p67 chipset anyways...because it is rumored that IVY will be near $400 for a cpu. Plus with a p67 board you can upgrade on it like I said previously w/o the tearing down your rig just to replace it sometime in the future.
