Better than most individual countries. At least when you do a UN deal you can hope at least one country has a good idea that it can sweet talk other countries into it. If you rely on your own government than that is the only voice in matters.
Plus if each government dictates its own country's Internet...that kind of removes the true purpose of the Internet. It is supposed to be open, but each country would, or already are, abuse it for there own benefit. Personally I think a whole new organization should be developed to run something like this...perhaps have it answer to the UN or something, but the UN is good for politics and that is the last thing the Internet needs. However, if nothing is done and the individual governemnts step in and take things over more we will all get a much larger dose of politics.Edited by Vagrant Storm - 10/23/11 at 5:49pm
