The last sapphire looks like its v2, does koolance make a v2 block?

Yes, that was my card () and it is v2 indeed. Not sure if Koolance does v2 blocks, but EK does for sure.

Op, I hope you have better luck than me and my old tri-fire 6950/70s setup (driver issues , sold them and went back to nv).

ATM there are no cards beeing water cooled, i added the "block" that is where the GPU is when i removed the 570. Did not want to drain the loop so just unplugged the 570 and added the T-block untill i get the 6970's up and running.

Think i will have the loop like this:

Res/pump --> 360mm --> CPU --> 120mm --> Gpu1 --> Gpu2 --> Gpu3 --> 240mm --> Res/pump....

The last sapphire is indeed a v2 card so are the XFX cards. Like i wrote i will swap one of the XFX V2 or the Sapphire V2 for a "Normal PCB" tomorrow and will try to locate another "Normal PCB" card to do another swap or buy and sell one of the V2's.

I was originaly going to only get 3 but Kcuestag was in a tight spot and needed to sell both the 6970's (Both the Sapphire's) so i just jumped on them in addition to the XFX cards.

Hopefully AMD has got their drivers fixed.

Just came back after swapping one of the cards, so ATM i have 2x 6970 Ref Design and 2x 6970 V2 design. Will try to track down another Ref design for Tri-Fire.

While looking into my case i noticed that i could swap the 240mm rad for a 360mm and extend it up and into the 5.25" bay area. Would this do any noticable difference in the temps. This would give me a total of 120.7(840mm) compared to the 120.6(720mm) that i planned.

Just a small update:

I've got the rig up and running now.
ATM im waiting for the 3'rd card and the 3'rd waterblock.

This is the way everything looks now.





as you can see its a mess at the back where the cpu goes into the 120 rad and then into the gpu. I have ordered a bunch of different 30/45/60 degrees, extentions, S shape connectors ect ect to get it as neat at possible.

I'm really happy with the blue colour of the Mayhem dye.


Hopefully it will not clogg the loop at the old stuff i used did.

ATM im also seeing some weird temps on the top card, i made a thread about it here

The fact that Gpu Temp #2 / #3 is 30c and 40c higher than #1 on Card 1 worries me abit, i also think that 19c between #1 and #3 @ Card 2 is a bit much.
I'll try to take the cards appart and check the connection between the block and the different parts when i get the 3'rd card.

Computer is done now. Will take some pictures later.

Regarding the temps on the gpu's they have all gone done a bit, but #2 and #3 is still 10-20c hotter then #1.
I think this can be a little design flaw on the Koolance block. I have reseated the block on all 3 of the cards 3 times and result changes only 1-3c.

Card 1 (Idle/load):
GPU Temps #1 36.5 / 52.0
GPU Temps #2 44.0 / 64.0
GPU Temps #3 45.0 / 65.0
VReg Temp load 45.2

Card 2 (Idle/load):
GPU Temps #1 36.5 / 56.0
GPU Temps #2 36.0 / 71.0
GPU Temps #3 36.5 / 74.0
VReg Temp load 41.3

Card 3 (Idle/load):
GPU Temps #1 35.5 / 54.0

Update.

After some testing i'm not happy with the results im getting. Under heavy load the water temp rises to about 15C above delta, and im having a hard time keeping the Cpu under 70C with 1.4v, the gpu's are maxing out at around 60C @ 1.2v.

I have done alot of research and i think it's a mix of low flowrate but mostly the rads beeing maxed out. I've since made an order for the following things:

HwLabs GTX360 - Will be using the same 6x GT-15 In push pull.
HWLabs GTX240 - Will be adding another 2x GT-15 for a total of 4x GT-15 in push pull.
Coolance 452x2
A second Laing D5

AquaComputer Aero XT5
AquaComputer Flow Meter.
2x AquaComputer PA2
2x AquaComputer Inline temp sensors

Will be swapping the Swiftech MCP320 for the HWLabs GTX360, and the Magicool 240 Slim for the HWLabs GTX240. I will also be swapping out the XSPC Dual Bay with the Coolance 452X2 with 2x Laing D5 in.

The new rads are in. Was a close call on the GTX 360 on top. Have about 2mm (0.07") between the one skrew and the bleed plug on the rear 120mm rad.

Just noticed that i have to options regarding the one rad.

Option 1: HWLabs GTX240 with push pull GT-15:

Or Option 2: Swiftech MCR320-QP (2 fans push and 3 fans pull.

The Swiftech is:
+ 3x120mm
- 34mm thick (1.33")
- 14 fpi

The HWLabs 240 is:
- Only a 2x120 vs the 3x120 Swiftech.
+ Its 54mm thick (2.12")
+ Much higher fpi (20 fpi vs 14 on the Swiftech.

What would be the best?
