He failed to read correctly the story, however it's true. You can read that on wiki by yourself... he was a filthy thief even back than when he had nothing.

Everyone got that one dirty secret, i wouldn't be surprised if 'ol Steve didn't came up with single idea but just stole those from others

omg, there's wall of text above me, it's sooo heavy

Ouch... I'll still buy an iPod classic for my new headphone amp

I was going to buy an iPhone 4s with my gf but after playing with hers I'm not feeling the OS anymore like I used to (had iPhone 2g/3g).

This is true.

However, the best Apple could get from this would likely be punitive damages and a licensing agreement. Android would continue as is with Apple getting royalties.

I did not misread. It would be quite hard for Steve to prove that the money was given to him without intent for the money to be redistributed (if you asked the Atari rep who cut the check that day, what do you think he would say his intentions were?).

Good thing Android exists then.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

To have tears flow like this when you copy and steal 99% of the stuff you put out? Unreal.

P.S.
Nice new notification bar iOS 5. Oh wait...it's from Android.

Google will prevail. They're doing exactly what MS did to Apple over the years; they're becoming the standard.
Android just needs to be as good as or better than iOS. iOS needs to be so much better than every other mobile OS that it excuses the fact that you cannot choose your hardware.
Android can be on the brand of phone you want, with the specific features you want, for the specific price you want -- it just might not be the OS you want.
iPhone? Well, it needs to be the brand everyone wants, have all the features everyone wants, for a price everyone wants, and have the OS you want. All at the same time.

It can't be everyone's first choice all the time. Android will gain market share steadily, and as it does, it will only get more diverse. Just like Windows, it will be the standard that people acknowledge. When people want to make an app or a piece of hardware, it will be for Android, not iOS. Even now, ARM is designing their new chips to work best for Android.

Selling software and hardware as one doesn't work. It never worked.

Did you even read the article. It clearly says he claimed to be cured. No speculation there.

I don't care if he tried alternative medicine. That was not the focus. You claimed he never refused treatment. I pointed out that he did refuse treatment that his Dr's recommended. If he had not refused that treatment, we probably would not be having this discussion.

Sorry mate. Guys like Galileo and Newton were literally generations, possibly centuries ahead of their time.

Steve Jobs lead the curve by like...6 months.

Every Apple thread I come across there's always delusional, disconnected and disoriented lunatics waiting to unleash their anti-Apple wonderland fantasies. Keep dreaming folks your Android masters need more mindless dumbed down irrational people like you.

Without people like you where else will Android's market come from? Keep up the good work suckers.
He spent his end years trying to destroy everything he started. Let alone, what should be said, everything he and a bunch of other people contributed to the market.
