What speed was the pump running in that clip? I reckon most of that is resonance from being connected to the case. It's going to be difficult to soft mount the rad/pump but I found using softer tubing on the inlet/outlets helped reduce some of the high pitched resonance.

You have an Asus mobo, have you tried using Asus Fan Xpert which is part of the AI Suite? It has predefined settings for PWM and also a user configurable one which you can experiment with to find a good compromise between noise and performance. However if your loop consists only of the graphics card then you could run it close to 20% most of the time.

I dunno. I have an MCR-220 mounted on the back of my H2g0. I don't get any noise like that...sounds a fair deal higher than 1500RPM. OP, are you sure that sound is coming from your pump and not the PSU?

See how I did my mount of fans/shrouds MCR:

Anytime you have the pump mounted to something solid you will get noise. It needs to be decoupled but that's not likely with your setup.

Mate I have 2 of these pumps running in serial and there barely audible. I use the sponge like foam that comes with the pump.

I have the MCR 320 Drive Rev 2 pump/res/rad combo, except mine is mounted horizontally and not vertically, on top of my case with no type of sound deadening material..It's metal on metal.

Based on your soundclip mine sounds nearly identical when it wasn't controlled by PWM. I noticed you said you have yours connected to your fan controller, does it actually control the pump flow? I ask because I initially had my 35x plugged into my fan controller but it didn't work...I actually had to have it plugged into a y-splitter from the cpu-fan connector on the motherboard for it to work properly.

One thing that helped me in my case with air bubbles was to simply leave the fill-port open for about 15 minutes after filling the reservoir. I could see the air bubbles coming up to the top of the reservoir fill port. I'm sure that's probably what you meant by airing out though.

Let me know and I can grab you a video of my setup and audio.

I used an mcp350 in an ITX watercooling project. I finally gave up on it solely due to the horrific whine from the pump. my advice would be to get an MCP655 or something in that class, since they are much quieter. <--- Coming from experience, I have used both
