Yeah. High-end 750W units can even handle dual 580s. I doubt your unit qualifies as high-end, but for one card it's more than enough.

It has made up my mind because of my weak PSU. I will not buy any of those then, since the total of cost to upgrade is too much with gtx 580 + PSU (ax1200) will be around $700. I think I will keep it until BF3 and MW3 are both out; by then, all the hardware cost will go down and I know what I will need with all the benchmark and review. I rather save my cash now and think about it when the game push the cards to reach their true potential.

Thanks a lot for the input. The question will come back when all the anticipated games are out and I will need all the advices by then.

Why are you getting the AX1200? It's overkill for even 3 580's and a good or even decent 1kw unit would power them.

Anyway good choice on waiting. If that LSP is Wintech then it is a COMPLETE failure and it fails at around 50% of it's power.(375w)
