2600k with 16gb 1866 vengeance ram. BSOD when going past 4.4Ghz

Hey,

When i try to push my rig to 4.4 Ghz + i get BSOD some mins into prime95. Im 99,9% sure that this relates to RAM and CPU incompatibility. I refuse however to accept that there arent any remedies for my problem.. I have tried to take down the speed to 1600mhz - then i could push my cpu past 4.5 ghz..

Any ideas how to push my CPU past 4.4ghz without cutting down on ram speed or increasing latencies? (it runs at stock 9-10-9-27-2, 1.5V). Maybe i overlooked some setting

Cheers!

I'm guessing you're using 4 sticks, take out 2, try again (You dont need 16GB really) Most simple option. Then tweak from there.

Forgot to mention that, running with less that 4 chips is not an option

Give it more vcore. It seems that were the threshold was with me, it required a lot more vcore to get it past 4.4 so I left mine at 4.4. It wasn't worth the heat.

Try removing two sticks and see how far you can overclock without bsod's. I'm not saying this is a permanent solution just something that would help diagnose the problem.
