I already know how this will pan out. When the expansion will be out, AMD will give me a driver which will cripple my CFX performance, like they did with SC II, then we will have the Catalyst Team tell us on Twitter to wait for the hotfix, the hotfix will come out but some issues will persist, so we will have to wait for the hotfix that fixes the hotfix.

Yet again, AMD will be caught with their pants down and we the customer will suffer. I remember how I played the last mission in SC with my I7 at 4.4GHz, ultra quality at 1200p resolution ... and whenever Kerrigan would show up close to the artefact, tadam! 10 FPS! It was a slideshow most of the time. I disabled one card and the game was running fine. I expect the same quality for this expansion!

Finally... an expansion/game that I can get excited about that ISN'T a first person shooter.

Seriously, Blizzard should make a movie and/or a first person shooter. The visuals in the cut scenes, both real-time and rendered, are simply stunning. The good news is that StarCraft II lived up to hype easily, so we all know this one will be good too. Blizzard isn't a company to half do anything. They release a game when it's fully ready, and never before. smile.gif

this game will be great, it will enhance the multiplayer experience with new units and spells which will reward positioning and tactics, rather than A-move^^

Don't give Activision any more ideas. mad.gif Does the world need yet another on-rails FPS?

Does SC2 even support CF/SLI? Last time I checked, SLI and CF showed almost no improvement over a single card.

Do you notice the GTX 590 getting less fps than a GTX 580 and the 6990 getting about the same fps as 6970?

This isn't anything new to be honest. tongue.gif

If it is 60 bucks in this case, looks like I'll need to enjoy it for 4 months to make the most of it before it's all profit biggrin.gif

GOOD!!!

Nice... smile.gif

I just read over here they are getting rid of some of the older units, also HOTS will have its own multiplayer separate from WOL, if this is true it sounds like a bad idea because it will just fragment the community.

Brood War was like this.
