keyboard stutter!

So i got this toshiba satellite laptop (win 7) and a retarded problem.

Every 1.5-2.5 seconds the keyboard freezes for like 100ms, everything else works fine its just the keyboard (well not the keyboard but the thing receiving the keystrokes because it happens with external keyboards too). So ya it has taken me a good 5 minutes to write this text because when the freeze happens any key i had down would get doubled and if i just pressed the key it gets ignored, ITS REALLY FKIN ANOYING. To clarify here is how the tet i type usually looks like thout me pusing every second check for typs. Works with every kind of key - regular letters obviously, arrow keys in games, even num lock light.

I think its some kind of software issue, the problem comes and goes, usually appears when ive worked for long periods of time with the laptop without restart. Then if i take it easy on it for couple days it returns to normal... This is the weirdest kind of crap ever, anybody got experience?

And please dont tell me to run an antivirus or defrag my hdd, thanks.

When did this problem start up? Anything unusual happen around that time? Does event viewer have any errors in it relating to the keyboard, or any hardware in general?

If it's not under warranty and you're comfortable with this, then crack the case open. Unplug ALL connections inside the laptop, and plug them back in making sure to get them nice and secure. Even the small "mini-boards" that connect to the laptop's MoBo (like the one for the power connection, etc...) Every time you take a connection apart, shoot it with compressed air to clear out any dust that may have worked its way in to the connection.

As an alternative, see if you can find another keyboard driver, uninstall current keyboard in device manager, and install new driver.

Excellent find! I know a few people with Toshiba laptops, I'll keep this in mind for future reference. Thank you for posting the resolution to your issue!
