I am new to OCing and want to overclock my I5 2500 - Page 2

All you can do on your chip is up the BCLK by a max of 4-5. So if you really badly want to overclock then just do that. Try upping the BCLK by 2, then do some stability testing with Pime95, if stable then up by 1 (so you'll be on a 103 BCLK), then test again. Continue until you reach unstable (which will be somewhere between 103-105).

That's the best you're gong to be able to do with a non K chip mate, your friends have no idea what they're talking about.

No. The turbo boost is going from 3.3 to 3.7, so you're already "turbo'd" then you add the 3-5 (5 if you're lucky) on top of the standard 100 bclk so you're adding an additional 185mhz (37x5) = 3.885ghz.

I would just set the multi to 37x and not touch the bclk at all. You probably don't even need any voltage increase.

So its not going to reach anything higher than 3.885 with turbo even? its not worth it then.....

No. Non -k chips aren't meant for overclocking. Just run it stock speeds. Maybe play with voltages and see if you can run it cooler.
