Which GTX580?

I was looking at the MSI Lightning, but noticed the eVGA 3GB is $50 more.. is the extra 1.5GB VRAM worth it? Or is a standard GTX580 (eVGA 1.5GB GTX580) enough?

Consider this: I really do make enough money to justify buying another in the near future, along with other monitors.

I missed out on the BF3 Beta (cuz I was working) and I just watched the trailer lol

EDIT: Or another GTX560 Ti

If you're staying one monitor = 560 SLI

If you're gonna go multi monitor = GTX 580 SLI 3GB

Standard SLI 580's can handle multi-monitor just fine at reasonable AA settings...

stop using gtx580 3gb , its overkill. 1.5gb is way enough

Have you looked at the EVGA GTX 580 Classified 3GB?

Only get the 3GB if you're going 3D vision. Even with multiple monitors benchmarks show they really aren't worth the money unless you're doing 3D.

IF you have the money go the MSI 3GB Xtreme 580, best of the best, to be honest if I was buying a 580 at retail prices so close to the 600 series coming out you should only be looking at these cards

MSI 3GB Xtreme>EVGA 3GB Classified>MSI 1.5 GB Lightning>ASUS Rog Matrix 1.5GB.

The rest I would pick up on the cheap used or wouldn''t waste my money on.
