I would also install Speedmod after you install this, but that can wait until you are more comfortable with the whole process. Installing Lite'Ning will also root your phone and install CWM recovery which will allow you to do back ups, etc.
Thanks man, you're the best! Care if I add you to steam?

You're probably thinking "Why the hell didn't you wait for the Nexus Prime?", Well honestly I don't really like the design and the fact that there's no home button and capacitive buttons... it just irks me. The resolution on the SGSII is JUST fine and perfect for me. I'm coming from an iPhone 3GS so anything is a frigging upgrade, what a terrible screen on that crap, lol.

I got the International version too which is good because I find it much more attractive than the US models and it's super easy to find good cases for it and accessories I just got an Otterbox commuter and it's STILL thinner than my 3GS with the case on.

Also, My GTX570 + Razer blackwidow + CM storm mouse came in today... what a glorious day. lol

/happy
Agreed if i was going to buy a galaxy S2 it would have to be the international version, its so nice looking with its one BIG physical home key. But im going to wait for the nexus prime

same here...My SGS2 will come tomorrow..white color is so sexy looking and coming from Nokia Xpressmusic 5800 is a bigger leap compare to your iphone 3GS. Cant wait for Monday to come... With regard to rooting and flashing roms, I have never try that yet since this will be my first android phone. I am also kind of afraid of bricking it. But at least it has 90 days manufactoring warranty and I will most likely buy Square Trade warranty on top of that.

Bricking seriously isn't what people make it out to be. Follow the instructions carefully, and you wont ever have a single issue. Don't worry about it, especially after your first successful root/ROM flash/kernel flash. You wont even worry about bricking your phone.

I just flashed my first ROM on my GS2 and it was extremely easy, I doubt anyone could mess it up unless they just start hitting random buttons.

Does rooting void their warranty?
