Gaming rig for battlefield 3? - Page 3

with that particular build, if it's for BF3 I'd strongly suggest going for more than just 1gb vram. Many people that have played beta have confirmed that BF3 will undeniably eat up 1gb with no problem. Staying with the idea of having a hd 6950 i would get this PowerColor 2gb version. Highly recommended by many on overclock.net and high reviews.

In order to stay within budget while using that video card i would back down on such an expensive HDD and go for this Samsung F3, also used heavily by the good people of overclock.net.

Also, the power supply. even though it's a really good power supply, budget just won't allow it. With a mail in rebate, this OCZ Modxstream Pro will cut costs down. Also a good PSU(Been using in every build I've done for others, including myself)

And if you don't think that 600w is comfortable, try the 700w version, both with mail in rebate is cheaper than the corsair power supply.

Go with the suggested Intel builds they all look solid. Leave AMD alone, not worth the money atm.

Intel (2500k) is the best bang for your buck budget processor out imo.
