Started playing a couple months after the 1942 release, have played every single Battlefield since. I still prefer the old Wake Island with "real" firefights. I actually couldn't play BF2 for half a year after its release because my computer couldn't run it; that was embarrassing.

Still have 1942 on my shelf covered in dust. Obsolute classic. My brother would play it all the time and just team kill his german team mates because he loved the german comments they yelled out when they died.

Signed.

The dogfights in bf1942 were absolutely amazing.

Vietnam is where I shined with the huey rockin music as I transported my team mates around. Although prob not realistic but those hueys were the most manueverable and fun to fly helo in any game I have ever played.

Bf2 and the spec ops g36 = love That is all.

2142 DESTROY THE TITAN!!!

Bf heroes lolwut

Bf3 = god has spoken

Played the ever loving crap outta Battlefield 1942. It's mods, Forgotten Hope and Desert Combat were stellar!

Played BF2 and it's elite mod... Project Reality.

BF3 better be moddable.

Ahhh, Wake Island.

All about strafing the tips with a jet...or knocking the transport chopper out of the sky with the cannon on the right hand side.

...or going ninja and landing on the carrier after some doofus crash lands a chopper without destroying it..

It's not moddable, not at the moment any way.

I played 1942 at an internet cafe for a few hours but it didn't make me a fan, StarCraft had a hold of me at the time.

Battlefield 2 is the game I got hooked on, along with 2142. I've spent about 500 hours on the 2 games. I miss the good old BF games that would last hours on end with everyone on the server communicating through in-game VOIP that actually worked properly.

Checked out 2142 and it's almost empty, only about 20 populated servers.
