Corsair F60GBGT-BK - Poor Performance issue

Thread Starter
Setup:
x3 CSSD-F60GBGT-BK in Raid 0 w/128k Stripe.
AMD Raid Controller on Asus M4A89 Pro MB

Updated:
MB-BIOS updated to latest build
SDD Firmware flashed to 1.3.2 (on all three drives)
Windows 7 Patched + Drivers installed
Windows 7 Optimized for SSD performance (via this reputable location and hours of reading)

Testing Software
HD Tune Pro 4.60

Results
(see attacedment)
It appears that my Read speeds are lacking. No matter what i do, i cannot get them to reach acceptable levels. I am no pro with SSD's yet, although i would imagine that with these three drives, i would recieve a read speed higher than 369.6 MB/s. I thought one drive alone would reach roughly 555 MB/s (according the advertisements/box).

How can i go about troubleshooting what the root cause could be?
Thanks

The system spec's have been updated.

I appologize if my first post did not contain all the required information. Although, if i remember correctly an AMD Asus M4A89 Pro motherboard does not contain an Intel x58 chipset. This is / should be an AMD chipset.

THis is normal performance on a X58 chipset. You will only get the full speed going sandybridge (Which is not worth doing so) Im in the same boat as u smile.gif No worries still fast as hell.

What do you mean by "which is not worth doing so"? confused.gif

I have an i7 2600K stable @ 4.8 gig... It was definitely "worth doing so"! rolleyes.gif

Coach

Let me do some testing.

Meanwhile, try the driver for the sabertooth board from the ASUS download.

Yep, need Intel chipset to reach full speed.
My 1155 board with Intel SATA reaches maximum speed with the Force 120GB GT. 516/559.

Im sorry, I ment if you have an x58 chipset its not worth moving to sandybridge for full SSD performance. Not going sandybridge from lets say core2duo or q6600 days to Sandybridge is absolutely worth it. I mean hell I would love to go i7 2600k but my i7 920 at 3.8ghz is more than adequate for 99% of the people who have them.

I tried the driver and flashed the drives to version 1.3.3 which just came out two days ago. Please see attachments for visual aid. The speeds did not change much. If you look at the Windows 7 Resource Monitor you can see im doing about 420mb write and 375 read, yet ATTO states im doing 1gig transfer. HD Tune states im running 345mb Max!

I would have imagined that with a SSD my read speeds would be a straight horizontal line (more less) not so much a up/down graph. confused.gif
