GPU for Skyrim/BF3 - Page 2

I disagree with all of you...

I dont think a single 6970 will be enough to max out bf3 (ultra 4xAA 16x Ansiotropic)

Id guess it will beable to do high settings and maintain 60+ fps , but not more....

Skyrim really won't be that intensive, but BF3 is a whole nother story.

Which 6970 should I get? Newegg only, please. Using my preferred account. People were playing the beta maxed out with FRAPS doing 30FPS. Good enough for me.

I personally like this one. I'm actually getting this one as well.

2 697-0's will, yes

people with 6950 @ 950 got 30-40 avg outside, both at metro and caspian

For skyrim a 6870 would max it without breaking a sewat and still hold a steady 60fps with Vsync on.

On BF3 beta I averaged 40FPS with ultra preset on Caspian border conquest with 64 players. I realy dont know why they said you needed SLI GTX580's to run ultra. Maybe Nvidia paid them off.

But I would sugest geting a 2GB 6950/ 6970.

Got to remember, the beta was not the full graphics. Not all the features were implemented.
