Asrock z68 extreme3 gen3 vs gigabyte ga-z68x-ud3h-b3

Which mobo is better? The gigabyte mobo is $30 more.
I'll be using it with an i5 2500k and two GTX 580 Phantoms. Can they both support sli phantoms as they take up 3 pcie slots.

apparently the ASRock supports PCI3.0, whereas the Gigabyte doesn't state that it does. Id get the ASRock for that reason.
The Asrock is better but your second video card will hang below the motherboard. You need a case with 8 expansion slots to accommodate this instead of typical cases which have 7. Why it's better? It has more power phases and they are all heatsinked. The Extreme3 Gen3 is such a crazy board for the price- onboard power/reset buttons, debug POST LED, x8/x8 SLI/CF, all solid capacitors, angled SATA connectors, and just plain old sexiness.

Only when Ivy Bridge is installed and the graphics card supports PCI-E 3.0 (neither of these products are released atm)

When researching boards for my build I had the ud3h up there but in the end I decided that the hybrid bios/UEFI thing wasn't there yet. Also the many problems with the board documented in the gigabyte threads turned me off because some of the issues where more worry some than others. At the end so many good thing about Asrock lately and the price difference made me take a chance on a newish board with some unknown to it. So far so good and in four hours if all is well I will pass 24h Prime at 4.6 @1.320

For the record my last four boards were 2 Gigabytes , an Asus, MSI and that's Post 939 boards.

Will the card hanging over the bottom be much trouble? Or is it just aesthetically displeasing?

Like I said you will need a case to accommodate it. Other than that it should work fine. It will hover over some USB headers, so just plug those in first and you will be good to go. I had a DFI UT X58-T3eH8 where the second GPU hung over USB headers, there is just enough room to connect them under a GPU.

Awesome, thanks for your help.
The corsair 500r should be big enough to accommodate that right?
*sorry for all the questions, this is my first build and I'm stilling learning*

Edit: The 500r does have 8 extension slots so it's all good.
