Really? They kidding me?

Great way to go, P2P for MW2 was a mess. Now they are just being dumb.

Why even bother allowing Dedicated servers if you can't do anything in them?

If you don't care about K/D, stats, rank, etc. then this isn't important at all.

I think it hurts the multiplayer online experience for many as ranking up allows them to feel a sense of achievement. Then again, I'm only buying MW3 for the single player campaign since I played MW and MW2 so I don't care about this either. There's much better multiplayer games out there.

O FFS, really IW ?!?!?!!?, one of the huge reasons i liked black ops was the dedicated servers, i cant comment on cod4 servers due to ive only played a few hours of it, but the problem for match making for me is sitting in a lobby waiting for map that i most likely hate with no rules against tubes and no auto kick for hackers

urgh killed my day

Yeah. I personally don't really give a crap about stuff like that... If the unranked dedi's were fully modifiable (disable killstreaks, perks, etc), I actually wouldn't mind picking up the game.

That's probably gonna do it for me. I kinda liked MW2, even though it had a lot of aids. But waiting for matchmaking and getting into hacked and laggy lobbies ruined it. And now they're bringing back the same ****tyness? I won't be signing up this time.

Yet again Infinity Ward or Activision has disappointed us yet again, forcing us to use the stupid matchmaking service which for me, has never worked well. Not buying this game.

Battlefield 3 even went up and has a server list on the console. A real, honest server list. With history and favorites and everything. Talk about one-upping the competition there.

I never liked this quick-matchmaking system since I first experienced it in the Halo series. Forget this.

In the name of "control"? Oh. I see.

So next step is requiring a constant internet connection if YOU want to listen to the shiny new CD YOU just bought? I kid, I kid. But on a serious note, ranking isn't that important. What's important is seeing a game that removes an aspect the gaming community has gotten used to, because they can. And slapping on a $60 price tag for recycled content.

YES.
I hate when ranked servers change game rules and disable certain weapons.
This is for the best, and is the right way to do it.
I'm not even trolling, any gameplay change -> straight to unranked.

I don't want your rules and gameplay changes and your scripted autokick bots if the server is ranked.

To be fair, I do hate the recycled everything, I just dislike serverlists because rules get shoved in my face and I have other people telling me what to do in a freaking game. I'd rather lag through P2P, and get host after a while.

It's so that I can actually play RANKED games the way it was MEANT to be played, without crappy rules that I don't want and without all the stupid "omg join our clan!111" automessages.

inb4 butthurt/don't-play-if-you-dont-like/umad
The only two good things about serverlists is that you rarely lag, and you can choose your maps. Everything else is terrible. I'm not intentionally trying to make people mad, I've just had very many bad experiences with serverlists.
