high gigabyte temp on some sensor on MB right now while running P95

post #1 of 2
Thread Starter
using a gigabyte ga-z68xp-ud4

I'm running large FFT P95 for last 20min, testing 4.7 @ 1.380 with LLC lvl6 which reads as 1.40-1.42 under load in HWmonitor

1 MB sensor says 58C, never saw it over 51 before, I don't know where that sensor is, but doesn't that seem very high for something without a fan, my "case" is just a big open sided box with great air flow

the idle of these MB senors was
35 25 26

now max is
37 25 58

the cpu max is
57 65 66 62 hopefully its some measure related to the socket or something, and not the VRMs or something

anyone with a gigabyte MB see that before

edit:the big VRM heatsink feels cool to the touch, just like the silver arroow and its air ventalates that heatsink too

I think that temperature is the socket temperature, running a few degrees cooler than the actual internal core temperature.
