Upgrading my rig, some parts ordered.

Hi all,

I was not to happy with my current temps this summer. Also I will be looking to upgrade some parts next year.

I am looking at getting the 1155 Ivy Bridge CPU and pairing it with two 7990's.

This would obviously kill my RX360 so I need something bigger.

Here is how the rig looks at the moment.

So to keep everything cool, I have ordered these extra parts.

I will be making a rad box out of MDF to sit under the 700D and house two of the 480's and maybe the RX360 as well. The third 480 will be cut into the top of the case.

The only thing I am missing really is a motherboard block but I can't decide on one. I am liking the look of the MIPS Acetal/POM one.

Once the parts have arrived I will throw up a proper build log, and update this thread.

Thanks for looking.

3 480rads is a bit of an overkill. ive got 2 240's and a 360, and couldnt see much improvement with or without the 360 rad. also you might want to think about a stronger pump like a 665? 600lph isnt much when its being pushed through a cpu block, 2-3 gpu blocks, a motherboard block, and 4 large radiators.

Bitfenix fans are not good enough for rads so choose something with more ummpff, preferably abouve 57 CFM or 98 m3/h.

That tubbing cutter is for 3/8 or 7/16 tubbing , I have one and I couldnt cut 1/2 tubbing properly.I could be wrong but that one looks exactly like mine.

I already have one DDC+ and am adding a second. If this is still too much I will add a D5 into the rad box for some more ooomph.

I know the BitFenix fans aren't ideal for watercooling but they are cheap enough for me to buy in bulk. I can always swap em out later on for something better.

May i know did you cool your GPU 1st or CPU 1st? i don't know how to configure.

Currently it goes to GPU first and then to CPU.
