Hey ^_^..oh and ahem...question!

Thread Starter
Not really new here, just have been busy the last few years and decided to get back to it. Just got a 990fx chip mobo with a 6950 ATI graphic card and amd's new 8 core processor. I just ran into one snag while Installing the corsair h80 on the CPU tho...I didn't install the backplate because from what I understand its for Intel based cpus, however when i tried to tighten down the two screws securing the block on the CPU, I noticed it shifted around and most likely smeard some of the pre applied paste unevenly on the CPU. Should I remove and re apply, should it be fine

Thanks,
Shawn

Edit: (Just read rules lol, was not allowed to ask a question, so I took out the question mark lol. Sorry admins)

^ this. Nothing to worry about. When I install a cooler I almost always twist it when it is pressed to cpu to help the spreading of the thermal paste...

Happy Overclocking, and WB
