ASRock P67 Pro3

I currently have the ASRock P67 Pro3 and am thinking of dropping in a 2500K and OC'ing that baby so then I can have a nice base for any future GPU's. I do not plan on going CF or SLI or anything which was why I chose this board, however I just want to ask how it OC's... What kind of speeds have people been able to get up to on this board using premium air cooling?

It's got a 8+2 power phase design, you should easily hit 4.5GHz, probably more. You might start to see instability issues going past 4.8GHz, however your chip will obviously play a major role too.

Would you say it is worth buying a new board?

No absolutely not. Your goal is to be able to run any GPU without a bottleneck right? Even at stock a 2500k can run any current GPU without a bottleneck, it's safe to say it won't bottleneck a GPU for a very long time (especially if you're not planning on CF or SLI).

So stick with it, do a easy 4.5GHz OC and enjoy

I agree no point in upgrading the mobo at the moment.
