Thanks for the replies everyone - it looks like the motherboard sensor is off by +15 degrees celcius!

I have a scythe kaze master fan controller installed in my system and I never found the need to use the temperature probes so this was my chance to test it to see if it was accuarate and more importantly why my CPU appeared to my running in the high 60/low 70s when the maximum safe limit was 62 degrees celcius.

To test if it was accurate, I placed a sensor on one of my hard-drives and got a reading of 35 degrees and upon double-checking with HWMonitor, it also showed up as 35 degrees.
I then placed 4 sensors around different points of the CPU heatsink to get an overall reading or the maximum low and high temperatures and after running prime95 for around 6 hours the max temperature reading on the CPU was 53 degrees celcius so I am relieved that my CPU isn't faulty and the airflow in my system is decent enough.

Are motherboard CPU sensors normally off my 15 degrees and to you think I should ask for a replacement?

Btw guys, what is the maximum safe vcore for 24/7 overclocking on the Deneb CPUs?

Cheers

AMD says 1.5v
Overclockers say 1.55v
I say whatever you can keep under 55 C.

That being said, on air 1.5v will about be your cap depending on ambient.
AMD, I give up.
