Thread Starter
Hi people,

First time i post on this forum.
I have be an overclocker since is was young... wait i still am? ^^
K now serieus, today i was going to overclock my intel core i5-2500K higher, He was already at 4.4 Ghz (multipl 40, fbs 100).

So i put my multiplier to 45. First time he felt out with a blue screen when i stressed for 5min. i put the cooling system higher and reboot now i stressed again ain't falling out anymore but when i stressed my fbs reaches +250 ?

I thaught like WTH?

Was this a bug in cpuz? or is this unstable ?

But yeah get the latest version of CPU-Z and check it again. I remember a while back another member had a glitch in CPU-Z and a OC to 25Ghz.. Haha tongue.gif

Nope.. frown.gif

But it will vary on your CPU cooler and your chip. 99% of the the K series chips can hit 4.5Ghz with a reasonable vcore and nice temps. However, once you start going higher it will vary depending how much vcore you need to obtain and stabilize that clock.

You can go all the way up to 5.9Ghz, but I think only 1 chip in the world achieved that under LN2, so if I were you, I'd head over to the Intel section and read up on some of the OC guides and start from there. More than likely you'll be able to achieve a modest OC with your chip (Unless it's completely crap, and or you have a crappy cooler) but only you can find out how far you can push your chip. So get to learnin' so you can get that chip burnin'!

Also, you can PM me if you have any questions or anything. Goodluck brotha! thumb.gif
