Don't be to stressed about it. The difference between x16/x16 and x8/x8 isn't that big of a deal

First welcome to OCN:grouphug:

Are you determined to run a 1156 platform?

but if your not i would suggest run a 1366 platform with a i7 920-930

1366
http://www.evga.com/articles/00447/

1155 but no 16x16x
http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=160-LF-E659-KR&family=Motherboard Family&series=All Motherboards&sw=5

its pretty spendy but it will run 16x16x and any CAD work your doing and then some. Plus its one of the most overclockable boards out there. You will be able to achive 4.0ghz with ease.

You won"t be disappointed:thinking:

lol 1366 posts:p

This Motherboard does x16 x16 in duel sli but only does x8 x8 x16 in triple sli: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157269

This motherboard does x8x8 in duels sli and x8 x16x16 in triple sli: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131760

There are others but these are two pretty good and solid examples.

The chipset does not quite matter, I am just trying to figure out this x16...x8 speed problem atm tongue.gif

Ultimate Graphics Power with 3-Way/2-Way Geforce SLI™ and Quad Quadro cards on demand

[Quad Quadro cards Support] [3-Way Geforce SLI™] The Best Graphic Performance you Ever have
Designed for true power users, the P8P67 WS Revolution uses a built-in NF200 controller that enhances bandwidth availability between the board and the four graphics card expansion slots. This is ideal for NVIDIA GeForce SLI™ and AMD CrossFireX™, as the new motherboard can easily handle 2-Way SLI in dual PCI Express X16, while 3-Way SLI works in dual PCI Express X8 and one X16 link. This translates into a 26.4% performance increase compared to regular P67 motherboards with similar SLI configurations, as measured by 3DMark06. For CrossFireX, the P8P67 WS Revolution supports up to quad GPUs builds in PCI Express X8 links, unlike standard motherboards, which lack the bandwidth to do so. [Ultimate Graphics Power with 3-Way Geforce SLI™ and Quad Quadro cards on demand]

this mobo will run 2 at x16 and one at x8 in tri sli... for sli it will be dual x16
