Frequent BSODs with i5 2500k

Thread Starter
Hi, I have been getting BSODs every few days (for almost a month) mostly when opening multiple tabs in a web browser) every since I built my PC. I may have wrongly applied the thermal paste on my CPU (I did a very thin layer all over the top) and some of the paste got on the pins. I am using a liquid cooler and the temperatures have never gone above 50 degrees C. I have updated all my drivers but I have got the original version BIOS. I had also updated to the beta NVIDIA driver but I uninstalled it and went back to the 280.26 driver. My PC was working without any BSODs for the first week untill I had updated to the beta drivers and I used driver sweeper to remove it (coincidence?).

This is the details of the BSOD. Any help would be much appreciated!

Ah thankyou, try turning off your computer and using canned air to blow out the PCI-E slot and reseating the graphics card make sure it's in there good, also make sure you are updated to the latest Nvidia drivers. I had a similar issue when I had the 560 GTX TI where it constantly blue screened and farked up, in the end had to RMA it.

I have uninstalled all the NVIDIA drivers but the files are still on my hard drive. How do I properly delete these files?

I've read that the new Sandforce drives are BSODing frequently maybe that is what's causing yours.

Just my 2 cents

Driver Sweeper. Boot into safe mode, then run.

Also, have you overclocked at all?
