PENCIL | 4350 vGPU

Thread Starter
working on pushing my 4350 to some high numbers today folks ! on the back of the card i located the two phase areas. earlier today i successfully raised my vMemory from stock 1.87v to 2.07v simply by penciling 4.17ohm (20k ohm setting on the DMM) to 3.77ohm.

trying to work the vGPU mod out though. the controller i have been working with, which i think is the vGPU controller, is decreasing the voltage when i decrease the resistance. stock voltage is 1.07~1.08v at 7.34ohm on the FB pin. when i pencil a corresponding resistor i get lower readings though. help would be appreciated !

could be a 'reverse' FB.. try soldering a VR to add resistance

if my DMM is set to read 20k Ω and the IC reads 7.34Ω off of that. what size of variable resistor do i need?

is it 20x(7.34)? i am confused on converting.

its around 150 ohms.. since your adding resistance.. you should be able to use a 200 ohm VR

confused as to why is is only 7.34ohm x20. shouldn't my value be 7.34k ohm? it only showed up under the 20k setting on my DMM.

sorry..missed that in your post above.. only saw the

... in that case then it would be a 200k ohm VR as you would want more resistance than stock.

for the forums,

Visiontek 4350 Low Profile

vGPU & vMem datasheet

100K VR from PIN 6 or corresponding resistor ---> GND

did my 4350 mod last night and it worked like a charm
