Huh. I have my 955 @ stock and run it absolute maxed and can still play ok. And I think the 870 is a lot faster when overclocked, but idk about stock.

why what? lol... :/

i could run the game maxed out to if i wanted sure, but it wouldn't be nice to play! i know im not the only one who thinks this game feels nasty under 50fps...

adds to immersion i think. i always liked it since the first crysis game. its pretty week in bf3 so having it on 50% is barely noticeable.

I agree. I turn off motion blur, as it hit performance hard.

I can play BF3 on unltra settings and the AA/FXAA on half(no real need for this on a single monitor at 1080p anyhow) motion blur OFF(I don't like it) and the HABO off(no needed on a single monitor at 1080p or less)

Holds pretty soild FPS at stock CPU and NB clocks and my car unlocked but at Toxic's stock clocks. Bump the CPU to 4.0 NB to 2800 and the car clock's get bumped to 960 core 1500 mem and its insane!

i use hbao cos i like the depth it gives to the image. it is a little costly on performance though. i may try turning motion blur off to see what that does for fps out of interest. the game is way nicer to play with my new cpu though i know this for sure. what voltage you using to run your card at 960/1500?

Havnt done any testing but they dont seem any worse.
I run it at 1920x1200 All settings Ultra, Motion blur off and all AA types off.
I have V-Sync on, I only play Conquest 64 player maps and nearly always have a solid 60 fps.
I havnt turned AA off for any performance reasons other than I dont like AA, not keen on the blury look.
I havnt tried sniping much so cannot comment on fps drop with 12x zooms.
My fps do drop from 60 now and again, mainly to 55ish, I have seen it go down as low as 45.

i see. well post process aa does kinda blur things a bit as its trying to smooth the edges out, but msaa does a lovely job of keeping the image sharp but not jaggy. only thing is it eats a fair old chunk of your fps! i quite like the combined effect of 2xmsaa and low post process aa. i guess its why my settings are on high and not ultra. cant see much between high and ultra though to be fair and i do appreciate a good bit of aa as jaggys completely ruin immersion for me. thats just me though...

my i7 is at 3.8 so its running the game beastly its the dam graphics card that i cant even get it to 880/1375 or else it will freeze. its not a bad card either it can do 900 in other stuff. i might have dammanged it a little since it was my first overclock after the cpu. it might just need to up the voltagez. but yea the game looks way too good the way i have my settings HBSAO is a must. u will not gain any diff but the effects it will have on your game is drastic YOU need it to play well to spot characters in camo and stuff. i also need to play with AA cuz if i look at bars and railings and they look like counter strike graphics i want to quit lol. so i have it at 4 and AF at 16x cuz thats also not a performance eater. theres a big guide on what you should and shoudlnt turn off. anyway ! the question is why i cant paly with an overclock at ALL. im gonna upgeade to 12.1 and see if i do any better. i switched from 12x scope to 8x and the fps doesnt dip to 20 anymore just 30 lols
