afraid not. your stuck with the normal stuff. Powertune might help some performance when overclocking, just like any other GPU. But it dose not have any shader's to unlcok. The next card up is the 6950:(

Good luck. I hear that 6870 Xfire is pretty sick for the money invested:) but a single should be pretty fun to play with.

yeh well he's got my crosshair iv formula mobo so he can tri-fire it on there eventually! he paid £150 for the toxic 6870 (secondhand but barely used-demonstartion model in a shop used for about 20 hours total) which i think was pretty good. could have got a low end 560ti for about 20 quid more but it wouldn't have been much better and he cant sli on that board, plus the toxic would be much better quality with the cooler n all compared to a cheap 560ti. it was a great choice for his budget. gonna get some feedback off him soon n see how well it plays games smile.gif

So with Catalyst 12.1 WHQL drivers, CCC keeps resetting my Powertune setting to 0% mad.gif. I have to set it to +20% every time I boot into Windows. I'm not using any 3rd-party software like Trixx or MSI Afterburner or anything of that nature. Is anyone else having this problem?

ive found that ccc resets powertune if i tell trixx to restore clocks on boot. so every boot i have to load my overclock profile, check ccc hasn't reset powertune and then change the fan profile in trixx to manual, and then back to custom again. because when i load my overclock profile it switches my fan to auto mode even though the custom box stays checked.

so you are not using any other programs at all to change anything to do with the graphics card right? are you overclocking it with ccc or just running stock clocks?

Edit: just for information - i think the reason ccc resets powertune when i tell trixx to load overclocks on boot is because i run my memory clock at 1375 but ccc only goes up to 1350 so it conflicts with it and ccc has a little cry and resets things haha tongue.gif

Ok. Try setting trixx to run on startup and then ccc should run after and not cancel your clocks. Works fine for me.

i do and it doesn't work for me - was what i was just saying... its because i run my memory clock higher than ccc's limit of 1350 so it decides to reset it. its no big deal though really, its just routine to go through those few steps when i start my computer now!
