For stock heatsink.
1.5mm on ram .5 on vrm's
1mm all around may not prove enough compression on some ram, and may squish too much on vrm's.

Okay how do i remove this damn cooler off the toxic. I removed the the little X shaped back plate, and all the screws on the back. It seems its held together by the bracket. Any help?
Lol I got it off after twisting it a bit. Some of the thermal adhesive was stuck on. Now the gpu 3 pin fan connector seems to be really stuck on the fan. I can't seem to get it off mad.gif

Installed it! I didn't even wait for the recommended 5 hour cure time for the heatsinks. I was so impatent that I just waited 3 hours lol. The thermal tape I ordered won't be coming for a while so I just used the g-1 compound.

I am too excited right now so I will post my temp's tomorrow biggrin.gif

EDIT: My idle temp went from 50 to 35 degrees. 100% fan speed is quieter than 30% fan speed on the original cooler!
My load temps never go above 60 degrees even during BF3. I can vouch this cooler fits for the toxic 6950 and works perfectly.
The cooler is Accelero Twin Turbo II

Sweet. Sounds good smile.gif
My toxic is in the RMA process at the moment. If I get sent another Toxic I will probably be looking into these coolers. Wish me luck with the RMA guys! God knows what I'm gonna get as a replacement :/

Ha thanks smile.gif

I'm not sure what caused it to happen but it just started artifacting and performance has been significantly worse ever since I switched from ASRock to my Asus Motherboard. I've been thinking it was something wrong with this Motherboard, but now I think it may have just been coincidence. I've kept it at stock voltage and temps have always been kept under control. I actually started a thread trying to find out if it's possible to damage a graphics card just from adjusting clock speeds because I couldn't figure out how it happened...
