I was going back and forth between them and Sapphire, each laying the responsibility on eachother. Eventually got the store to do the return after a while of threatening them with legal action and quoting consumer rights laws. They're so slack with replying to my emails. Sapphire aren't being helpful, and no response from this other company. I have no idea what's going on with my graphics card. This has been doing my head in. Just seems like this triangle of crappy companies that just want to lay the responsibility on the others. The store should really be offering me a replacement from their own stock by now and then seek compensation from Sapphire. Sapphire will need to issue me with a 7970 for me to forgive this one!

Sounds like a disaster so far. Hopefully you will get a nice upgrade out of it.

Yeh it's pretty frustrating. I ordered a new gigabyte gtx 670 lastnight so whatever they send me will be put straight on ebay to help fund what I just bought. Incase you guys were wondering I sold that 7970 I had briefly lol. Wanted a change so went with nvidia. I hope this is a rare case for Sapphire because I'm definitely put off buying from them again. I'm probably gonna start going with evga in future as their warranties stay with the product and not the original owner. I've heard real good stuff about Gigabytes customer service though so I was happy to go with them this time...

I can vouch for EVGA's cards and service. Great products. sorry to hear Sapphire is screwing you around like this. I hope they make it right.

Nah they haven't. It got passed onto another outside company now. Sapphire have really disappointed me. The shop has decided to offer me some money back today. Not the full price I paid for the card but I think it was a good offer considering I bought it in November so I've accepted it. Maybe Sapphire are a bit crap in Europe or maybe I just got really unlucky. Can't see me buying from them anytime soon though. Nevermind.... Still keen on Evga for future yeh smile.gif

I had similar while benching.. too high of an overclock was the issue in my case. What settings are you running when that happened?

All stock settings. Problem occurs in FUrmark and 3Dmarkvantage but not in Cinebench and PCMark 7. T.T

Keep an eye on your temps. If it's not a failed overclock then it's probably cos something is getting to hot. Run hwinfo64 and see what all your max temps are when you run furmark.
That display/crash in furmark occurs really quick, just 3-5 seconds from running the test. I'll try if I can capture the temps.
