But seriously if this drops into the $150 range ... I might just have to pick it up as either a Back-up, or for future X-firing ? tongue.gif  because those while they will be great, those new HD-8xxx series AMD cards will cost a lot more than $150. thinking.gif

you'd really spend all that cash just for a backup card? you can always use your cpu's graphics as a temporary measure if your main card fails. that's what i did when i sent my toxic off. if you get another then crossfire it! biggrin.gif

Yea, the iGPU is pretty potent. Even though my TOXIC is working fine I still use my iGPU. It power's my second monitor. Keeps the Idle temps down on my toxic. I have even played BF3 on the iGPU monitor. Great "backup option" for the cost.

No, no ... I meant I'd put it in my other Rig to replace the HD-5770, as a back-up until maybe down the road I'd get a bigger case and X-fire the TOXIC's ... I doubt I do it regardless, but nice to think about it out loud smile.gif

I didn't imagine I would be able to play bf3 on mine lol. It did a good job for general computer use and playing little indie games though! How do you set the igpu to use one screen and the main gpu to use the other? Do you need that virtu thing installed? I never use it because I didn't quite get what that program did. It just caused issues with my games and appeared to be quite pointless to me :/

Oh I see. So you have 2 gaming rigs? Why not just make one real good one? I've always just put my cash into one computer that can do everything. I don't host any websites or need it for work related stuff though....

Tbh I could barely tell the difference between my 3gb 7970 (in the brief time that i owned it) and my toxic 6950. The drivers were up to 12.7 at the time so I'm sure they've improved a bit for the 7970 but still... The Toxic 6950 when unlocked is a great card smile.gif Could it be the new 8800GTX in terms of legendary status? 8800GTX's had a very long lifespan, especially when in SLI! I think the Toxics still fetch around £150-£170 on ebay so that's pretty damn good considering they've been out a couple years now!
