It is just the Stock unlocked BIOS that came with my toxic. the +20% still needs to be done for full performance gains. some one was asking about it to try it with another Sapphire card.

Is this the right 6950 toxic? I remember reading how in order for it to unlock it must have the AMD logo near the PCI-E express insert on the bottom of the card.

Ah, okay thanks. What's the difference between the two cards besides its actual appearance?

This may be a newb question, but what are the limits as far as crossfiring one of these with another card? Since they're pretty much out of stock everywhere, I'm going to have to find a different card to crossfire this with. Should I get a 6970?

Also forgive me if this has already been answered.

I am almost positive that they have it mislabeled. Canada Computers has them in stock: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_557_558&item_id=041138

@ atluu ...

There's really enough information about the TOXIC card out there, do your own legwork and homework you'll learn MORE about the card than just having someone tell you what they think in a few sentences this way as well. If  I  were you, start off by going to my Front Page and open the >>> REVIEWS <<< spoiler, and read ALL the reviews on the TOXIC, this will start to give you an idea of what makes this card unique in a crowded field of other exceptional HD-6950's on the market.

@ frenchtoast ...

I assume this means you already own ONE Toxic card ? and want to now crossfire 2 cards ? then you have several options ...

- but first some of it depends, did your TOXIC UnLock and have you OC'd it any ? if YES then you basically HAVE a HD-6970, so X-fired w/ another HD-6970 would be a fine idea, and some here have.

(consider the Sapphire HD-6970 card as it's the TOXIC twin in looks and performance for the most part.)

- IF your card DIDN'T UnLock, then you could still OC it and get near HD-6970 levels that would still make a X-Fire w/ a 6970 a viable option.

- And if it did or didn't, the option to X-fire w/ another HD-6950 is always a great budget friendly way to get crossfire performance while saving a few bucks.

(consider the Sapphire DIRT3 card if you can't find another TOXIC.)

My rebate was approved about 3 weeks ago. Still haven't got mine yet. The 8-10 weeks wait is ridiculous. I thought my kingston rebates took forever, until this. doh.gif
