Sapphire TOXIC HD-6950/70 Owners Club & Informational Thread - Page 6

Hey guys I have a small problem, I connected the hdmi wire to my tv's(LG 47LW5600) hdmi port. The picture does display but the problem is that it is a bit slow. It's not choppy but the movement is slow, and it is really noticeable when I try moving a window quickly or try playing games. (input lag)

My old computer didn't ever do this, but maybe it was because it was running on a VGA port idk. Is there some option in CCC that I have to change?

Not sure IF this will help ... but at least it could be a good thread to post in and add additional info back forth ... http://www.overclock.net/amd-ati/114...950-toxic.html ... this guy is having if not the same a similar TOXIC to TV issue he's trying to resolve. Also this thread might help you ... http://www.overclock.net/monitors-di...ck-screen.html ... seems like Ken1649 is a rather knowledgeable and helpful fellow.

Got you added Kolovrat, welcome ... and WOW another impressive OC ! question though, stock Voltage ? or did you bump it up ? In keeping a list of everyone's DATA I'm hoping we can ALL get the most out of our TOXIC's ...
Looks like I got lucky on that one,
Yes I played a little with voltage, +50(voltage control) at Catalyst and with Trixx up to 1.2v for stability in heavy games.
only +50 may work to, but after few hours with extra FPS it's loosing stability.

I can barely get past 950 at stock.
My card also has a great core at 970 on stock, although my mem maxed out at 1375. I thought I was doing something wrong when it kept going up These cards are great.

Nice what you using for your oc ? Im still fighting it out with Trixx or AB.AB will not unlock volts but will clock higher. Trixx seems to dc for some reason but will hold the volts I set it at. I notice while furmakr is running Trixx will show the oc at 1000 mhz but in the sidebar gadgets its clocking down to around 900 and lower at times.

I have the same problem...could you use both? Trixx for voltage and afterburner to make sure the clocks hold? I think trixx is incompatible with ccc so ccc lowers the core and memory after you have changed them in trixx but I could be wrong. Score was without any overclocking I score higher on Furmark if I don't overclock.

EDIT: what sidebar gadgets are you using to monitor clock and mem? voltage too?
Running trixx and ab just crashes the system at speeds running one or the other would be able to handle. They don't work well together I guess I should have known that would happen.

Another note, not sure if anyone is even reading the ones I posted but...

The memory on the 6950/70 has ECC so if you clock it too high to have errors, it'll automaticlaly downlock itself. So while you might think that you have an incredible card that can do 5.8ghz effective on memory, it may very well be slower then if you did 5.6ghz.

Make sure you benchmark.

Also if Furmark is causing your GPU clocks to go down, that means you're hitting the TDP limit and the BIOS that you have is the old one that requires PowerTune in CCC to be set to 20%.

Anyone knows if "reference 6950" water cooling block will work with Toxic board?

Update: I hope you get a kick out of the Award section of the Reviews as well. if it's not cool let me know btw and I'll remove it.

Also I've found NINE Professional review links now ... might want to add the last few to your Review Page also ?
