yeh that revised vbios was already on mine to which i found out when i tried to flash it. i only bought my card a couple months back. but yeh - still doesn't fix the powertune issue! just out of interest - have you found that taking the memory clock above 1375 actually helps performance? i tried mine at many speeds all the way up to 15xx when i started getting errors. just didn't really seem worth going past 1375 :/

edit: also i paid £230 for mine but i didn't get any free games with it frown.gif where did you buy yours? i got mine at okobe (never heard of that shop til a google search but it was the cheapest!).

@ET900

I'm not sure if there is any point in the memory clock being so high? I dont get any errors but also dont know if its making it run any better?
I bought it from Overclockers.co.uk

@LA_Kings_Fan

Thanks for adding me, I deleted GPU-Z after my messing session last night, I'll try to get you the picture if I get a spare few mins.
As the the rig its pretty basic by all accounts,

I just tried furmark on vanilla burn in test and getting 70 degrees heat and 70 fps with my mem clock back down to 1375 so I guess the answer is no it didnt make any odds putting it up to 14**

well its different for everyone. i just wondered as a lot of us just didn't seem to get any performance boost above 1375. sounds like u did good on furmark. i ran the 720 preset just yesterday and got 64fps, cant remember what the main score was though. i have a similar setup to you but my 2500k is only at 4Ghz at the mo. gonna look into overclocking it a bit more later in the week.
post #988 of 1649
The 70 fps in furmark was just the windowed burn in test, not 720p or 1080p

I did run the 1080p furmark today and scored a little over 3500.

The 720p results,

63fps score 3828.

The 4ghz vs 4.4ghz on the i5 wont make any odds in furmark.

oh i see. yeh i think my score was about 3750ish so pretty similar. you're right about the cpu oc on that to yeh.

also i have just realised there are a second revision of the 12.1 drivers for anyone that's interested (12.1a). im just gonna try them out now smile.gif
here's the link: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/Catalyst121apreviewdriver.aspx

edit: ok those drivers sucked for me. bf3 just kept jerking about really badly. 12.1 did that every now and then but 12.1a did it every single game i played! anyone had a good experience with them?
