I'd like to buy/build my first home server! Advice needed - Page 3

They are designed for max amount of airflow but Norco and a few others(i believe)have the option to use 120MM fans instead of 80mm with one updated fan bracket on their 4U chase, Which leaves them much quieter depending on the fans you choose to use.

for normal day to day use a 7200rpm drive will be just fine.

Are there any very quiet rackmount cases? Or are they all designed for Delta high-RPM fans?
You can always swap out fans but you also need to make sure that you are getting enough airflow. Technically a server just has a server OS installed and raid. Other than that you can use standard hardware. I actually have all my stuff in a haf922 until I can get a KVM console for my rack

I'm using a zotac itx motherboard with normal ram. I just need to get my raid card to hook up 4 1TB f3 drives in raid 10.
