Leopold Tenkeyless Tactile Force Keyboard (White)

Thread Starter
I considered it a perk to live in the same state as Elitekeyboard because when I order something, I usually get it within a couple of days (thanks Brian!). Anyway, my Leopold tenkeyless w/ clear switches arrived today and btw, this is my first board with clear switches and I have to say the switch itself feel pretty stiff, even more than Cherry MX Black. It feels like brown but stiffer.

The white color is not the same as Filco as most of you already know. It's a little more off-white with a tinge of yellow in it. As for the quality, it's too early to tell. I'll give it a few more weeks to settle in (break-in period?). Also no pinging or squeaky sounding keys/spacebar here and that detachable mini USB cable is always a plus.

It came with a red "Esc" key.. don't know whether that's a "bonus" or not but thanks anyway, Brian.

Sorry about the quality of the pics below. It's overcast today.

Cherry MX Clear

Included red "Esc" keycap

Next to a white "Otaku" browns I got from IOMania (Korea)

With the new Shamrock keycap that just came in

And with RGB modifiers

That's about it. Any question please let me know.

I have a question, how can you use a keyboard with no letters on it? That would drive me nuts! (and I barely look at the keyboard as it is lol)

Wow, more stiff than blacks. I'll have to remember to stay away from clears, as blacks fatigue my fingers pretty quick.

Well, that's my early impression and the board might need breaking in or something. lol. It definitely feels like stiffer version of browns.

Reaper, if I may make a suggestion. Would it be at all possible / in your interests to make videos of you typing on each mechanical keyboard you own? I can't be the only person on here who wouldn't love hearing how each keyboard you have sounds.

I'm in the market for another mechanical keyboard, I love my Das... but I want to try more!

Stiffer than browns is expected, but stiffer than blacks? Well that's just disheartening...well there's always ergo-clears, but that's kinda inefficient cost wise...then again the mechanical keyboard hobby isn't exactly cheap anyways = D

Main cluster is easy. The shifted number row characters takes some work.

Sorry I missed your post but like ripster said, it takes some getting used to. Once you're used to it then it's pretty easy. I hardly look down anymore when I type.

I'd love to do it IF I have the time but right now, my work schedule is pretty hectic.
