How would I improve the air flow on this case? The case was a gift and gift giver comes over so nothing too outrageous is ideal.

I posted this here because I'd like to make it overclock friendly. I don't have any parts because this would be my first build. Any help would be appreciated.

What do you think needs improvement? Airflow? It's a pretty decent case design.

Something to this effect http://www.Newegg.com/Product/Produc...tem=11-999-141 and removal of the lower hdd bays would be quite the improvement in my eyes.

Maybe a false floor to cover psu cables.

Easy, cheap, elegant. It just requires a fan and some foam, and it's not immediately obvious unless you use an LED fan.

I was just worried because it only has 2 fans and most of the things I've read here seem to favor more fans.

You want front-to-back airflow. I bought my daughter a Lian Li device that takes up three 5.25 slots. It will fit a 120mm fan in it. It keeps her case looking elegant. With five 5.25 slots you have room for one yourself.

I have a 140mm fan in my 5.25 bay, behind the mesh slot covers. It looks like you have mesh slot covers. If you put a 140mm fan in the top three slots, the fan will stick 5-10mm above the top slot. If you have a ceiling on your 5.25 bay you will take up the top three slots and part of the next one down.

An intake fan at the top of your 5.25 bay will feed cool air directly to your heatsink. Air coming in at the bottom is warmed by the hard drives and the motherboard before it reaches your heatsink, compromising its ability to cool your cpu. So you really want a 5.25 bay intake fan. See my sig for a thread on it.

Note: Even Lian Li anticipates air coming in through the 5.25 bay.

I also recommend removing the grill at the rear. The aluminum Lian Li cases have no rear grill, just a finger guard.

Finally, I recommend removing the unused slot covers from your backplane. That will allow your gpu to breathe.

BTW - the lower front intake is a square 120x120mm hole. A 120mm fan covers less than 78% of that. If you put in a Kaze Maru 2 (Slip Stream 140) or TY-140 fan, you can have a 140mm fan that covers the whole fan hole, yet fits the 120mm standard screw holes perfectly.

Enjoy your case.
