Clarification on Eyefinity connectors

Thread Starter

So I'm getting ready to order my other 2 monitors for Eyefinity and wanted to make sure I have the correct cables for it.

GPU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102918
Monitor:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001481

I have one of those monitors hooked up through the HDMI. For the 2nd monitor I was going to get

, and for the 3rd .

So 1 monitor through HDMI, 1 monitor HDMI to Mini Display port on GPU, and last monitor HDMI to DVI on GPU. Wanting to make sure this will all work correctly before ordering. Also will this all still run 1080p?

As your monitors are limited by native D-Sub & HDMI, your best Eyefinity setup:

Moinitor 1 HDMI > HDMI

M0nitor 2 D-Sub > VGA-DVI adapter came with your card and plug to upper DVI port, lower DVI port with adapter will not work.

Monitor 3 D-Sub > VGA-MiniDP adapter

Only this adapter validated by AMD is guaranteed to work. The adapter in your links will fail.

All of the above post is correct. You cannot run more than one HDMI connection in an Eyefinity setup. Even when using adapters. You can use one but the others all have to be either DVI, D Sub, or a variant of Display Port.

Thank you for the help! I'll make sure to grab that connector. That first adapter I linked was actually from Eyefinity validated on their website. Your setup sounds a lot simpler than what I was thinking .

I know it is but Eyefinity does not support more than 2 legacy device the combination of D-Sub, HDMI and DVI.
