Having trouble with videocard waterblock

Thread Starter
I built my first computer at the end of this past summer. Its great but now I wanted to try water cooling. The problem is that I can't find a water block to fit my videocard. Its a non reference Gigabyte 6970. Here's a link to it on new egg. I checked DangerDen and they don't have anything. Anyone know of a company that sells waterblocks that will fit a non reference videocard?

This is the problem with non-reference cards. Unless a block has been made for your exact make and model, a reference block will not fit and if you can't find one, there probably isn't one.

Thats what I was afraid of. The problem is I wanted to do a crossfire setup but there would be practically no room at all for the top video card to "breathe." I was hoping to remove the covers and go with water cooling for the best possible cooling with no heat problems. O I forgot the link not that it really matters now.

Im still pretty n00b at water cooling, but would a universal block be an option for you? You'd have to get your ram and vrm/mosfets cooled via heatsinks, but you may be able to drown the GPU

Wow that is awsome. Thats it I have to get that!. I didn't get to read everything but that will work with a non-reference card like the one I have (linked above)?

I don't know but I would have to look. Really though I don't feel like watercooling the ram and mosfets or the Intel z68 chips. I don't have the time or money for that. I just want to have probably a single loop to cool the cpu, and dual video cards. The ram are 8gigs of Vengance and with the heat spreaders they have on them they stay really cool anyway. As for the mosfets and z68 chips I'm not sure what they're running at I haven't checked.

I was talking about mosfets and ram on your video cards

O I thought you meant the mobo mosfets and main ram sticks. I do see people water cool that stuff too but it seems like to much of a pain.

You should be able to use a universal that just watercools the gpu and then aircool the rest

I was looking again at the link wonder posted and the universal blocks and what I was wondering is how important is it to have the VC ram and mosfets cooled? I have a Corsair Obsidian 650D case with one 200mm fan in front and two 140mm fans mounted on top plus the back fan for exaust. So will that be enough to keep everything cool?
