you seriously just made a thread just to troll bulldozer....

about something we already knew....

GG

I don't recall AMD EVER saying that the bulldozer architecture was "tweaked" for folding at home...

And if they did, I am ashamed to own something from such a pitiful excuse for a design strategy.

Perhaps you should post on AMD's forums? I'm sure they'd see it there more likely then here, no?

I am talking about this tweaking:

about next generations of AMD processors.

...? There is no "tweaking" involved for F@H.

F@H is a good indication of IPC and it shows Bulldozer's pitiful performance. The architecture is pure and utter garbage.

He never mentions F@H

It would be idiotic for AMD to waste R&D money on "tweaking" for F@H. F@H users are such a small fraction of computer users.

since when was F@H a benchmark? IPC is only half of the equation...clockspeed makes up the other half.

Bulldozer doesn't clock that high either.
It clocks higher than Thuban and less than Sandy Bridge.
Problem is, Thuban and SB have a higher IPC.

AMD screwed up really, really bad with BD.
There is no denying that.
