would any 'amd fanboy' need to remind you how intel had had flopped with its new technology generations at least two times before ?

the morondom is in expecting a zero day technology to beat all competition.

its not 1993 anymore. its 2011. technology is much more complicated to be mature at zero day debut.

maybe that had to do with the fact it twice as much Instruction cache... ?

256kbytes vs 128kbytes.

it's like a duel core vs quad core at that point

In intel forums is just boredom. People are happy with their CPUs, just a little speculations about upcoming processors there, 2700K brings nothing new, SB-E is very predictable, only thrill is, how high will IB overclock and if and how will performance per core rise in comparison with SB. That is about it.

AMD forums offer much more thrill and entertainment.

in short, there is no RADICAL NEW TECHNOLOGY on the horizon on intel side.

Even if it is, it will be a boring one, like SB.
Just think about. Staying home and have nothing to do, just banging their heads against the wall. After that --> OCN - AMD CPU threads.
