H100 fan setup

Thread Starter
After a bit of research I've decided to purchase a H100 for my new build. After sifting through many forums / posts I have read many different opinions on all facets of the H100. One of the things that was mentioned was using it with a push pull fan set up to achieve slightly cooler temps. What I'm wondering is should I run with standard fans or ditch them for some after market fans? The H100 will be installed in a HAF X case top mount (in case under top case fans). If you think after market fans are in need please can you recommend a few models? Any info appreciated!

Aftermarket. Get some Gentle Typhoon's 1850rpm.

if your gonna spend extra on fans i think you'd be better off with a Xspc RX240 kit maybe.

Wouldn't it be better to draw the air from outside in? For example top fans pushing cool air into the case instead of dragging warm air from within the case through the rad? Then rear fan would draw warm air and exhaust it from within the case?

I would, but not overly confident with full water cooling yet. I'm concerned with it leaking lol. And I'd prefer something a little less maintenance free

to my knowledge there wont be much of a temp diff either way. but i thought the same thing. maybe ill play with the setups with my H50 and see what happens as i have the stock fans on top and the front one as well. the H50 fans are slipstreams and cover the rear case fan mount.

now the one thing that i want to know. who cares if its sucking the warm air from inside the case if the fans are aftermarket high CFM fans such as my slipstreams?

Anyone who tells you to deviate from the standard fan setup is substituting guesswork for data; here's going from stock to quad:

I'm not entirely sure about that, I'd like to see the temp of the air prior to it passing through the fan and then a temp directly afterwards and compare.
